This 50-minute, instructor-led course trains Connecticut-licensed insurance producers to use the free climate risk mapping tool the Connecticut Insurance Department provides to all residents in collaboration with First Street. The tool gives property-level, forward-looking risk information for any Connecticut address across five perils—flood, fire/wildfire, wind, extreme heat, and air quality. Producers will learn to read a property report; interpret exposure, estimated damage and downtime, and event probabilities; and use that information to have well-documented, compliant coverage-gap conversations with their customers. The course is strictly educational and contains no product solicitation or sales content.

Cancellation Policy

Per the New York Department of Financial Services, you cannot receive CE credit for any course previously used for your license renewal (based on the course approval number). 
Per the Connecticut Insurance Department, a course can be taken for CE one time in the current license period.  It may be taken again in a subsequent license period.
