Effective October 1, 2021, there is no longer a flood course category for CT.
There is, however, a FEMA flood requirement. FEMA has published minimum training and education requirements, as required by section 207 of the Flood Insurance Reform Act of 2004, for all insurance agents who sell Standard Flood Insurance Policies issued through the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Newly licensed producers are required to complete a 3-credit flood program during their first compliance period. This is a one-time only requirement.
