Session One - Wrong Way Driver

When a tragic automobile accident took the lives of 8 people, many questions arose and still remain to this day. Was it a true accident? Or could it have been intentional? In this episode, Sue will explore the events leading up to the crash and provide important context that was used by law enforcement and the insurance company to determine what really happened and what coverages should apply.

Session Two - Road Rage

In November of 2009, a man harassed another driver on the road for at least 10 minutes. The incident eventually ended with the death of the victim after the perpetrator rammed into the back of the victim's car, forcing him over the median into oncoming traffic. In this episode, Sue will present the facts surrounding the case and discuss the crime involved, including a deep dive into the coverages that ideally would have been in place to respond to the numerous claims that arose from the incident. 
 
Session Three - Schoharie Limousine Accident

This powerful session examines the tragic Schoharie limousine accident through the lens of insurance and claims handling. Attendees will explore the sequence of events, the insurance coverages involved, and the steps taken during the claim investigation. The course highlights the importance of thorough investigation practices, accurate coverage analysis, and how proper risk management can impact outcomes in high-profile cases. A must-attend for those interested in the intersection of real-life events and insurance responsibilities.

Per the New York Department of Financial Services, you cannot receive CE credit for any course previously used for your license renewal (based on the course approval number). 
Per the Connecticut Insurance Department, a course can be taken for CE one time in the current license period.  It may be taken again in a subsequent license period.
